September 1 to November 30, 2026

90 days.
10 states.
50+ project stops.

TCGM is loading up the truck and heading back into the field.

We are visiting wind projects across the western United States, meeting the people doing the work, sharing stories from the road, and putting products in the hands of the people who use them every day.

Most wind technicians don't get to attend trade shows.

They're busy climbing towers, changing gearboxes, troubleshooting problems, and keeping power plants running.

That means many of the people using the tools, gear, safety equipment, and products made for this industry never get the chance to see them up close.

So we bring the products to them.

The TCGM Tech Tour travels directly to wind projects, giving techs a chance to handle new products, ask questions, share honest feedback, learn about jobs, meet people in the industry, and see what is being built for the work they do every day.

For the companies joining us, it's a chance to get out from behind the booth and talk directly with the field.

In 2012, wind technician Neal Gyngard started Tower Climbing Grease Monkeys as a Facebook group for people working in the wind industry.

The idea was simple:

Create a platform where technicians could share information, ask questions, network, find jobs, and help each other out.

Today, TCGM has grown into a community of nearly 40,000 wind technicians and industry professionals, featuring job postings, products, gear, merchandise, giveaways, videos, industry partnerships, and plenty of stories from the field. The Tech Tour takes that community off the screen and onto the road.

What happens when the truck pulls in?

The TCGM truck arrives with sponsor products, demonstration gear, promotional items, job information, merchandise, and a few surprises.

Techs can walk through, check out the products, ask questions, grab some gear, and talk with the people behind the companies serving the industry.

There is no formal presentation to sit through. There is no pressure to buy anything. Just come out, look around, get some free merch, and talk shop with people that get it.

WHO IS THE TOUR FOR?

ANYONE WITH A HAND IN KEEPING WIND MOVING.

The TCGM Tech Tour brings together the people who build, operate, maintain, supply, train, and support the wind industry.

FIELD CREWS + PROJECT TEAMS

Wind technicians, O&M teams, EPC construction crews, site leaders, and everyone working in the field get a chance to see products in person, ask direct questions, hear about job opportunities, and give manufacturers honest feedback.

Come out, bring your crew, and see what is worth taking back to the job.

MANUFACTURERS + SERVICE PROVIDERS

Show the field what your products or services can actually do.

Talk with the people using them, answer their questions, hear what they need, and build relationships that do not begin and end at a trade show booth.

OWNERS + OPERATORS

See what crews are asking for, which products are getting attention, and what is happening across the industry. The tour creates a direct connection between field teams, decision-makers, and the companies supporting their work.

TRAINING + WORKFORCE PARTNERS

Connect with new and experienced wind professionals, share training and career opportunities, support workforce development, and help prepare the next generation of the industry.

THE WIDER TCGM COMMUNITY

You do not have to be at a tour stop to be part of the trip.

Follow the route, watch product demonstrations, meet crews from across the country, catch the giveaways, and see what happens on the road.

Whether you have worked in wind for years, are just getting started, or support the industry behind the scenes, there is a place for you here.
